5.After selecting max power programming on the programmer, accepting the changes, and confirming we wanted the ECM programmed, the programmer started rewriting the management software, contending with the drivetrain. The dash lights went crazy for a minute, while the program did its thing. Don't freak out when this happens, because after it's done, everything will go back to normal. You'll just have more power at your fingertips.
