The 2008 CHOC Cruise 9 took place under a brisk, sunny sky this past Sunday, December 14, 2008. Unlike the ordinary truck show where the objective is to show your truck and win, this 9th annual Cruise is much more - it's a toy drive. Bearing toys instead of cash for entry fees, this event is certainly one of the most memorable all year long for Southern California truckers. Meeting at Angels Stadium in Anaheim, California, and culminating with an After Party at Original Mike's Restaurant in Santa Ana, the heart of this event lies in caravanning to CHOC (Children's Hospital of Orange County) to drop off toys to brighten the days of the children of CHOC. During this high-spirited toy drive, Santa, Mrs. Clause and elves made frequent appearances, and everyone had a great time.
